Recap:

* Flew in Monday and the airline lost our luggage. They say we arrived late, but we arrived on time and our connection was two planes over. Verdict…Alaska Airlines is just lazy.

* Tuesday had a storm start blowing through and the crew went to check out Wave Rave. Really sweet shop and cool staff. Guys set up a rail near our cabin at The Station and hit it until night.

* Finally could get our gear and get to the mountain on Wednesday. The storm was in full effect with 50 mph winds and snow. Nobody was up there and the first thing the ticket girl said was, “are you sure you want to go, there’s no refunds.” Awesome day with pow everywhere…even if we couldn’t get up to the peak.

* Thursday and Friday brought sun and the top of the mountain opened. Some people hit the park while others went and rode the pow on the peak. With the trees, it was a sunny pow day, all day. The pow was gone Friday but the sun was still out and the parks were in great condition.

* New Year’s Eve was spent around a campfire with hot dogs and s’mores. Apple cider at midnight and then right to bed.

* Rode around The Station and the lowlands on Saturday before finding out that the airport cancelled our flight…they claim it was due to “weather” but a flight two hours later flew out in the same weather. Have to stay two extra nights now.

* Sunday split the group. Couple of people went to the mountain while the others went and rode with Desiree Melancon and her friends in town.

* Everyone’s suppose to be in school and/or work today, but being stuck in Mammoth meant that four of the crew flew out this morning and the other three of us are waiting to fly out tonight at 5:30. Hopefully it will happen.

Mammoth was all it was suppose to be, but now we all have to go back to school and work. Oh well, 2011 is just getting started and we’ve got months more of riding.
